Workspace in Progress

I was asked about how I store my Washi Tape and I thought I’d share that and a quick overview of what my desk looks like right now. Nope I didn’t clean it up to share with you all. It’s never a clear table. Why pretend it is.

And I actually have photos on my desk. See I still scrapbook. The Technique Tuesday stamps you don’t see hanging (most of them) are in the Stuff that needs a home box. I haven’t decided how I want to handle my seasonal, lesser used stamps. Everything expect the baby wipes holder (Target) and the Copic storage (Cascade gel packs box) everything is from Ikea. Scrapbook supplies came from the internet, Michaels/Joann/Hobby Lobby, and my new favorite place to shop Our Paper Place If you come to visit I’ll take you there. If you live in the area go there. It’s amazing!

Now for the Washi Tape:I have all my Target tapes up front along with my roll of Smash tape and a couple of rolls from Michael’s. I really thought I had a roll with little people on them, but they’re birds on a wire. Not really the same thing.

Well that’s what I have set up so far. My inks, embellishments, random other stuff is still working on finding a good home under the table, but for now it’s all working.  Also there might be a post in a week or two about my attempt at packing for a 12 hour crop. I haven’t scrapbooked outside my house since before 2010. So that’ll be an adventure.

Thanks for reading and happy crafting! ❤ Ann

My favorite Disney Attractions

I went picture heavy on this because there is so much to love.

On the left side of the page is a picture of the Epcot Center map I took, Figment, Goofy, Pete’s Dragon from Main Street Electrical Parade, and title signs for both night time parades at Magic Kingdom over the years.  I did a small amout of journaling, but I’m really thinking of turning into a list. I’m just not liking the way it came out.  For the title i used more of the cardstock and the Silhouette. It doesn’t stand out too much, but it’s very me. I used Lawn Fawn’s new letter stickers for the title. The right side is all about my love of the Disney thrill rides. Space Mountain, Test Track, Tower of Terror, and Expedition Everest. I used Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABC stamps for the title of the journaling card and a filler card from the PL kit. Again not sure if I love it, but except for the create they’re all feelings I have for these attractions and characters on this layout.

Thank You Card

I don’t think this card could be anymore me. I fell in love with this Studio Calico line, Take Note, mainly for the cubicle paper. I was a little unsure of how it would translate to 6×6, but it’s great. I found quite a few of my Lawn Fawn greetings fit perfectly including this Thank You from Sophie’s Sentiments. The ribbon is some really old American Crafts that I’ve been hoarding for years that I’m finally having to start using.

PD: Page 2-3

There are really 2 1-pagers that happen to fit next to each other. The left page is getting around. The title square is from Project Life with Lawn Fawn stamps added. The circle card is cut from the Silhouette with the Project Life cardstock. (as was the chevron) I used some Technique Tuesday on the journaling card.  (I need to add a tag to note when those parking prices were accurate which was 2006)

The other page is kind of a general information of the parks. Each park has a card with it’s park name, opening date, icon, and some idea of what the park is all about. here you can see what each card actually reads. It also makes the MGM title easier to see. Yes, I did ignore the whole “Disney’s” in the park names. I think it sounds stupid. So to me it doesn’t exist. I tied to give each park it’s own color and or stamp theme. I had a lot of trouble with Epcot. I did the blue stripe to cover the World Showcase side, but the hearts well….it’s my favorite park. That’s really the only thing I thought of.

Lawscaping Challenge #31

My card this week uses quite a bit of color. I used Copics and new Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I used a few different sets here: I used Quinn’s ABCs, Gnome Sweet Gnome, and Critters in the Burbs. I used Bright Side 6×6 papers as well.

Thanks for looking and happy crafting! ❤ Ann

Happy Easter

Happy Easter from my family to yours.

The card was made using Echo Park Splash for the blue background, The grass and sun are Lawn Fawn Bright Side, and the crosses are Basic Grey wood grain from Life of the Party. I cut the grass, sun, and crosses with the Silhouette.  I cut the grass too short and I’m already running low on that paper so I added a 2nd small strip and some Lawn Fawn trimmings colored with Seed Packet Jenni Bowlin ink.

I hope everyone has a relaxing holiday and enjoys time with family.

Thanks for looking and happy crafting. ❤ Ann

CAS-ual Fridays challenge #46

This weeks challenge from CAS-ual Fridays was to create a card based on a song.

I first thought of the Grease song “You’re the One that I Want” and I came up with the card design. Then I was getting ready to add my sentiment and I found the “You’re the one for me” and to me they mean the same thing. So here is my card:

Those cute dogs are from Lawn Fawn’s Critters in the Burbs, the heart is from Critters Ever After, and greeting is from Clear to See.  I used C3 and C5 for the grey dogs and E11 and E13 for the brown one. I used Y06 for the collar tag, R29 and B29 for the collars, and R22 for the nose. Thanks for looking and happy crafting! ❤ Ann

Project Disney: Title Page

I had started this project back in October of last year. Then the holidays and then the move got in the way. Today I finally got the title page done!. Just a couple of things before I start. I will not be using any Disney stickers or such in the book. I will very rarely use Disney colors for things. I’m using the Clementine Project Life kit. I’m a huge Disney fan, but I’m very much over the black, red, yellow stuff. And that block font that I never see used at Disney except on scrapbook stuff. Yeah you won’t see that either.

What you will see. 16 trips to Disney mainly over 4 page spreads. (One trip is like 10 pages and it was only 4 days) You’ll see a lot of my thoughts and memories and a few photos like the icons will overlap.

Without further ado: The title page

The first photo slot just holds a 4×6 Clementine filler card with a castle cut from the Silhouette (castle_C00176_20387) with the patterned paper kit for the Clementine kit.  I then cut a shadow in kraft, because nothing is complete without kraft cardstock. The 2nd 4×6 photo slot is the entry sign you see when entering Disney property. The middle row is the Florida welcome center sign, a no bad dancing sign (the safety warning from every attraction), a journaling card covering why I’m doing this, a random Animal Kingdom photo, and the bottom two slots. The left is David and I on our first trip together in 2005 (at AK) and the right is our most recent trip in 2010 (at AKL).

There are 3 2-page spreads before I get to covering the first trip. Hopefully I can do a spread a week and someday get the project actually finished.

Happy Easter!

It feels so good to be crafting again and to have space for my outlet. The moving company is coming to pick up all the empty boxes today and then I’ll finish cleaning up my space and share photos. I couldn’t be happier with my space so far and can’t wait to finish it. I really believe a happy space helps. At least for me.

Today’s card: With Easter coming I needed a couple cards to send to family and this is the first. I made this card by cutting eggs out of white cardstock from my Silhouette and then covering them in washi tape I got from Target ($4 for 4 rolls! They’re in the office supply section). I made two of the purple dotted one and added pop dots so one would stand out. You could easily open one up and have a chick pocking out for a different effect. I then stamped with greeting with Lawn Fawn’s Jessie’s ABCs in Jenni Bowlin ink. A quick and easy card you could send to anyone. You could even get kids involved with white eggs and markers. I’m sure a grandparent would love to receive  artwork.

Thanks for visiting and happy crafting. ❤ Ann
