My book is finally starting to take shape. I found the patterned paper I wanted to use..although it took a trip to my least favorite store (Archivers) and a couple more dollars then it would have been online, but I was able to have it same day. There is one important part missing…the title on Monday page 1…I realized around 2 or 3am this morning that I forgot to do that. So I’m trying to figure out how I want to do it. I could stamp the day of the week and color it in (Lawn Fawn’s Quinn’s ABCs) or I could create something with the Silhouette. After all the pages are done I’m going to go back and add embellishments here and there, like the button on the journaling tag. Thanks for reading & happy crafting! ❤ Ann
Category Archives: Week in the Life
I picked up my photos last night and trimmed and sorted them. This morning I did all the page design on a piece of notebook paper and put it in the ziploc baggie. Today I plan to type out all the journaling and figure out how to add some color and make all the pages feel like they flow.
Photos taken: 820 Sunday had 414 photos taken while Friday only 16
My book is a 6×8 with a homemade cover I posted a couple weeks ago. I’m having photos printed in 4 sizes for the book: 4×6 (just a few) 3×4, 2×3, and 2×2. Each day will be a 4 page set. The first two pages are going to be the same sketch for each day and the other two pages will change depending on photos and stories to tell. The left side will have a 3×4 photo, 2- 2×3 and a 2×3 journaling area. The right side will be 5 2×2 photos and 4 2×2 other things, memorabilia, embellishments, journaling, and whatnot.
I plan to add some patterned paper and color, but I haven’t decided how yet. I’m currently working on that since I won’t go to pick up my pictures until this evening from Walgreens. In total I’m printing 40 4×6 prints with all the different sizes. (I used Picasa to make collages of the photos on a 4×6 area) Just a preview of the photos I printed. I’m hoping to get started this evening, but my main goal is to have the project finished by the end of next week. Thanks for reading and happy crafting ❤ Ann
I have been planning to do Week in the Life for years, but some how I never really get around to it, but this year is going to be different. I’ve started the album, have a plan of attach, scheduled special events that week so my life seems more interesting, and would love to document my day to day life.
My album is going to be 6×8. I didn’t want to do an 8.5×11 and I think the size is mini, but not too mini. I plan to only take pictures with my cell phone..because I don’t really want to lug my SLR everywhere 😛 I do not use any of those camera apps. I hate the way those photos look. I plan to print photos in 3×4 and 2×3 depending on the number I want to use and what I’m documenting. I don’t print at home (no photo printer) so I’ll plan and start my pages without photos..upload my photos Sunday night/Monday and hopefully have the album done by the end of the following week. I plan to document foods I eat, stuff I do, and my favorite social media. It’s apart of my daily life. I plan to have a page each day called “Tweets of the day!” It’ll have whatever awesome tweets show up in my feed or I post..not to leave my lonely Facebook out if I find something great there I’ll find a way to share it too. (same goes for Google +)
I’m using all sorts of random stuff for the book because well life is random, but I’m going to try to stick to a set of colors (red, blue, yellow, orange, and green) tweets of the day will be stamped with Lawn Fawn‘s Quinn’s ABCs and filled in with colored pencils (I’m not ready to start using Copic Markers) then I’ll print out the tweets and add some chicks from either July Studio AE or Lawn Fawn Critters on the Farm. Days of the week will either be Silhouette or Lawn Fawn as well haven’t decided yet.
I plan to make some journaling cards (3×4 or 2×3) and do some journaling each day..and maybe try to get my husband to participate as well..but I’m not holding my breath.
The previews I have for you today: The cover and a test piece for “tweets of the day!” Thanks for reading and Happy Crafting ❤ Ann
