Lawn Fawn Week: I <3 U

This card my be my favorite I’ve made in a long time.  It was quick easy and just so cute. I used Quinn’s ABCs and used copic marker R24 to color in the i and u. I cut the heart from my Silhouette. I measured the o and then cut a heart that would fit in the space.  I didn’t really plan for the i ❤ u to line up, but it looks great that way.   The polka dot paper is a very old American Crafts sheet.

I hope you’ve enjoyed Lawn Fawn lovefest. Thanks for visiting and happy crafting! ❤ Ann

Next months week long theme: Birthday Cards! (Feb 20-24th) + A new card every Friday in 2012.

Lawn Fawn: Picture Perfect

I stamped the camera from Say Cheese and cut it out. I added it to a Becky Higgins grid card. (I think next time I’ll just stamp on it) I colored in the camera with C7, C5. R24, B05, Y15, and 100.  I stamped the “You’re” from Clear to See (I cut apart one of the stamps so it’s easy to use it alone or together), and  the “Picture Perfect” is also from Say Cheese.

Lawn Fawn: Speedy Recovery

I couldn’t help myself. I took Schoolhouse Backdrops and turned it into a road for the poor turtle from On the Mend to have to walk. Well hopefully he’s speedy. (I wish I had Critters in the Burbs to add the bunny waiting at the end for him) I used YG03, G05 to color in the turtle, a scrap of American Crafts for his ice pack, and once again cough syrup to stamp the greeting.

Lawn Fawn: You Rock

These two stamp sets had been on my wishlist since I first saw them. Teeny Tiny Backdrops and Pa-Rum-pa-pum-pum (which I call cute stuff). You could easily color the drum and use stamp colors that highlight the recipient’s favorite color. For the boy card I used Speckled Egg for the ink and red ribbon as the accent to break up all those pretty notes. For the girl card I used Lavender and a purple pieces of cardstock that was punched on both sides. What’s that dot in the middle of the You Rock…that’s from my pressing down on the ink pad too hard, but it works. The drums were colored in with E11, E13, R24, R29, B24, BV02, BV08, V12.

Lawn Fawn Week: Happy Birthday

I need to work on photographing my cards, but anyway.

This is a card I made for the Lawnscaping challenge to create a birthday card. I used the flowers from On The Mend and colored them int with pink and purple Copics. I stamped Happy Birthday from Sophie’s Sentiments with the lavender Jenni Bowlin ink. I even colored my brads purple with a marker.

Thanks for reading and I hope you’ll come back the rest of the week to see more Lawn Fawn goodness.

Clear to see

I love this card. I’ve been hoarding this Scenic Route paper for years. I’m trying to purge some of my paper for the move and decided I couldn’t just hold on it anymore. So I chopped it into card bases.  I then stamped the greeting and glasses (Lawn Fawn’s Clear to See)  It’s a quick simple valentine that’s not super sappy.

Check back next week for the first of 12 week long card series January is of couse my favorite stamp company: Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for reading. Happy Crafting! ❤ Ann

It’s Okay

(please ignore my generic header I’m working on a new one today)

This weeks card features the December Studio AE set. I’m not really a big fan of this set, but I felt I needed to find a way to use it on a card. So I took the “large” flower stamp and created a background using Jenni Bowlin inks. I then added a scrap of Bella Blvd. and some ribbon. I attached a few brads to the center of a few flowers to add a little something. I stamped my greeting and added one of the small flowers and attached it to the b-side of the bella blvd. paper.

Thanks for reading. Happy crafting! ❤ Ann

Feel Better card

Welcome to the first Friday photo share and the first Friday in 2012. I plan to share a card with you every Friday, even the weeks I’m moving and in between homes…plans are being made.  Some weeks I’ll have instructions on how to recreate the card, some weeks will just be a card, and I hope in the future to learn to make videos and share my card making process.

This card is easy to recreate all you need is Lawn Fawn‘s On the Mend stamp set, some copics, and a scrap of patterned paper (to use as the flag)

I actually started this card after coloring and cutting out about 15 bandaids. I noticed as I cut them out and they fell on my table how cute they looked. So I found a nice card base (Echo Park’s dots and stripes) and I stamped the greeting on a self made flag (a scrap of Bo Bunny) and I did popdot all the bandaids to give the card some depth.

This card could easily become a birthday card with a stack of presents, a moving card with boxes, or a stack of about anything with a small greeting for a simple card.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the first Friday card and I hope you’ll be back next week for another great card.

Thanks for reading and happy crafting! ❤ Ann

My One Little Word(s)

One Little Word was developed by Ali Edwards. You can read about the project and her word for 2012 on her blog

On Sunday I was sure my word was going to be Adventure, but then I delayed my blog post. So I began to waver on my word. So I haven’t nailed down my word, but it’s travel related:

  • Journey
  • Adventure
  • Explore

This is the first time I’ve taken on this project and I’m doing it without taking Ali’s class. I’m going to be away from my scrapbook stuff for at least a month when we move from Kennesaw, GA to San Jose, California and I just wasn’t sure I wanted to sign up for a class I’d miss part of.  This also explains why I’m looking at a travel word. My husband and I have grown up in the metro Atlanta area our entire lives.  All our family is here and friends. So moving across the country will be an Adventure with a lot to Explore along the Journey.

Maybe I’ll just have 3 words, or maybe as the days and weeks go on my word will come to me, but until then I’ll be pinning anything and everything that inspires me with these words.

Are you participating in One Little Word?

Project Life Plans

I don’t live a glamours life. I don’t have kids, a lot of errands during the week, and my daily normally consists of dishes and dinner.  So I don’t have plans document daily. I don’t even know if I’ll have a layout a week, but I have lots of extra Clementine pieces leftover from my Project Disney that I don’t think I’ll need to order more pieces, but maybe a few plastics, but if so I’ll wait until until later.  I’ve seen a lot of opening pages already posted and I thought about making mine, but then I thought about my Project Disney and how I loved that the front pages shows off some of my favorite photos.  So I think my plan is to do the opening page at the end with just a few highlights and favorite photos of the year.  So you won’t see an opening from me until the end of 2012 (if I do keep up with the project)

I hope to keep up and I think taking a relaxed approach will help. Not saying that every week needs to be documented that I’ll be able finish the project.
