I have been planning to do Week in the Life for years, but some how I never really get around to it, but this year is going to be different. I’ve started the album, have a plan of attach, scheduled special events that week so my life seems more interesting, and would love to document my day to day life.
My album is going to be 6×8. I didn’t want to do an 8.5×11 and I think the size is mini, but not too mini. I plan to only take pictures with my cell phone..because I don’t really want to lug my SLR everywhere 😛 I do not use any of those camera apps. I hate the way those photos look. I plan to print photos in 3×4 and 2×3 depending on the number I want to use and what I’m documenting. I don’t print at home (no photo printer) so I’ll plan and start my pages without photos..upload my photos Sunday night/Monday and hopefully have the album done by the end of the following week. I plan to document foods I eat, stuff I do, and my favorite social media. It’s apart of my daily life. I plan to have a page each day called “Tweets of the day!” It’ll have whatever awesome tweets show up in my feed or I post..not to leave my lonely Facebook out if I find something great there I’ll find a way to share it too. (same goes for Google +)
I’m using all sorts of random stuff for the book because well life is random, but I’m going to try to stick to a set of colors (red, blue, yellow, orange, and green) tweets of the day will be stamped with Lawn Fawn‘s Quinn’s ABCs and filled in with colored pencils (I’m not ready to start using Copic Markers) then I’ll print out the tweets and add some chicks from either July Studio AE or Lawn Fawn Critters on the Farm. Days of the week will either be Silhouette or Lawn Fawn as well haven’t decided yet.
I plan to make some journaling cards (3×4 or 2×3) and do some journaling each day..and maybe try to get my husband to participate as well..but I’m not holding my breath.
The cover is created with My Mind’s Eye Alphabet Soup paper, Kraft cardstock, Echo Park (scrabble stickers), October Afternoon (date stickers)
The previews I have for you today: The cover and a test piece for “tweets of the day!” Thanks for reading and Happy Crafting ❤ Ann
I started out with a kid style notebook sheet of paper from We R Memory Keepers, then I stamped the words in different Jenni Bowlin inks (side note Chili Powder, Chicken Feed, and Soap Powder are being discontinued so get those reinkers) I cut the frame with my Silhouette, which is on sale for .50cents this week. The title is Echo Parks’s For the Record typewriter stickers.
When I first saw the stamp set for July I was worried I wouldn’t find much use for it, as I don’t spend much time outside and don’t have kids, but so far I’ve loved it and have a few more plans for it. Come back Monday..or maybe Tuesday as I’m hoping to have the base work and plans for my Week in the Life album started. Thanks for reading and happy crafting! ❤ Ann

My 2nd shipment of Studio AE arrived today. I was beyond excited I started this layout a couple days ago, and I knew that little bird would be the perfect embellishment. The paper is Echo Park Summer Days from the 6×6 pad. I used Jenni Bowlin Inks. The title is part of the “the simple beauty of time spent outside” and the hanging out word. The parakeets are from Zoo Atlanta hanging out on a branch. Thanks for looking and happy crafting!
When I joined Studio AE last month I had plans brewing in my head for how I was going to use those stamps. I wanted to do a minibook and use some of my favorite Disney photos, but the problem came down to journaling. Who do I journal to? I spent maybe a week trying to figure that out, and decided to journal to someone who hadn’t visited the parks. I included some of my thoughts and memories but also the stuff I knew I wanted to remember 50 years down the road. That the monorail only covers 15 miles right now, that Hollywood Studios had undergone a name change, that Epcot currently has 9 future world pavilions and 11 countries.
So when the stamps came in the mail yesterday I got right to work. I pulled out my Jenni Bowlin inks (Spiced Tin, Lemon Drops, Seed Packet, and Chili Powder) some white cardstock (bazzill) and a scrap of Kraft (bazzill) I printed my journaling on the white cardstock trimmed the paper to 5.5×3 and then stamped the word that worked best with that photo under in different colors until I reached the bottom. It took about an hour to do all the stamping, and for my first real stamping project I’m quite happy with it.
Without further adu the minibook: (the title does use some Echo Park stickers and a pen)

I hope everyone is having/had a great 4th of July. Today I have a layout I created using a Red, White, and Blue color scheme The Silhouette was used for the title, banners, striped paper, and borders. The circle paper is We R Memory Keepers Yankee Doodle collection, and the other papers are Echo Park Dots and Stripes. The twine is We R Memory Keepers as well. Thanks for reading & happy crafting! ❤ Ann
I know I said in my last update that my next update would include some stamping. Well my stamps are somewhere in the mail system and I’m not sure where. So that’s on hold for a couple of weeks. It kinda of messed up my mojo making plans for stamps that I don’t have yet. Well to get my grove back I’m doing a personal Layout a day challenge this month. So far we’re on day 1 and I’m doing well. I’ve even started my layout for day 2, but it’s not finished yet. I used Echo Park Splash for the entire layout. (Plus my new office supply date stamp) Thanks for looking and happy crafting ❤ Ann
