Happy Father’s Day

image

These are the cards I made for this year.
Card 1: Was my first real attempt at stamping. I used some MSE stamps that I bought maybe 4 years ago. I used chalk ink and hoped to get a softer look, but I’m not sure I like it. The stipe of pp is some Bella Blvd scraps I had. the base is a piece from a MME 6×6 pad. The chipboard heart was painted yellow and then I glued a button to it. Tied some twine and called it done.

Card 2: I pulled out my Basic Grey Boxer 6×6 pad and found a great dark blue for the base and the strip with borders and cut out a red and then the blue that I cut the diamonds out of. The sentiment was done with Jillibean stickers and then highlighted with brads. I then added some twine and this too was done.

The card on the right took me about 20 minutes to think of and create, but the card on the left took about 3 hours since I practiced the stamping several times and I couldn’t really decide how I really wanted the card to look.  I’m now done with cards until 4th of July? Or September when the next round of birthdays happen.  Or maybe I’ll make some and start keeping some in stock for future events.

Thanks for reading. I hope you’re having a great Father’s Day. ❤ Ann
